God is setting free the guilty—not by ignoring sin, not by lowering His standard, but by paying the price Himself. The righteousness we need is not achieved by us; it is received through faith in Jesus Christ.

The Law was never given to make a person righteous; it was given to expose guilt, silence self-defense, and show the true condition of the human heart. Like a medical scan that reveals a disease but cannot cure it, the Law diagnoses the problem without providing the solution.

In Romans 3:1–8, Paul answers common objections to God’s righteousness. Religious privilege does not save, unbelief does not weaken God’s faithfulness, and sin never serves God’s glory. God’s righteousness stands on its own, and the only right response is to stop excusing sin and submit to His truth.

Romans 2:12–16 explains how God judges every person fairly based on the light they receive, revealing universal guilt and the need for grace in Christ.
