Man’s prideful self-reliance often leads them to trust their own instincts instead of humbly seeking God’s wisdom. Because God’s word is pure, we can trust what is say about living a good life.

Why is boasting about tomorrow and boasting about myself useless? Because tomorrow is uncertain and we are a poor judge of our character. We are tempted to overestimate our longevity and character. Treat today like it is the last, knowing that God sees the our labour.
